Cristina is an independent choreographer, performer and contemporary dance teacher living between Germany and the United Kingdom. She has worked professionally since 2009, performing for various companies and choreographers. Cristina is regularly invited to teach classes internationally for academies and professional dancers. She holds a master’s degree in Choreography and Co-Creation from Codarts University in Rotterdam. Since 2016, Cristina has been developing her choreographic work, and her pieces have been staged in several European venues. Her research has focused on exploring identities and human relationships, as well as the material and immaterial connections between people and the artificial, natural, and imagined spaces they inhabit. More recently, she has used notions of reflexivity, positionality, and situatedness to explore the inner and outer transformations of moving pregnant and ageing bodies.
